I dreamed up Trudy Workshop in the summer of 2022 & officially launched spring of 2023 with the desire to bring my own personal style and flair into bag making. For many years I have been inspired and enthralled in victorian carpet bags from the 1870’s - the colors, textures, and intricacies found in scraps of rolled silk carpets.

As someone who has a bag for everything when I leave the house, I wanted to create the perfect handbag with a vintage touch. The Trudy Carry-All was designed to be your perfect bag - the one you don’t leave the house without. The perfect travel or everyday companion. A vessel to carry all your needs, all your beloveds, all your trinkets and treasures. A bag that you will have with you for many many many years. A bag that is very well loved.

I grew up in Colorado and have spent most of my life living in and exploring the Southwest, now residing in San Francisco, California where I find continuous inspiration in the Victorian architecture, the vast cityscapes and the magical natures that surround. I learned my sewing craft from my mother who learned from her mother, a treasured craft passed down through generations.

The name Trudy means spear of strength - in my own journey of bringing strength & joy to my life through a creative craft I hope that Trudy workshop creations bring you the wearer a similar empowerment and bold embellishment to your own personal style.
